Introducing a talk story format for this month’s CreativeMorning’s talk featuring @haaheo__, @randysoriano808 and @jairuscope

As a proud product of Papakōlea, the first Hawaiian Homestead on Oʻahu, Haʻaheo Zablan keeps one eye on traditional Hawaiian culture, history, and values, and the other on innovation, regeneration, and the future of the Hawaiʻi visitor industry. As one of the few Native Hawaiian General Managers in Hawaiʻi, Haʻaheo has completely changed the position of the Kaimana Beach Hotel and has created a premier destination in Waikīkī for both kamaʻāina and malihini alike.

Ha’aheo is especially honored with kuleana to support the Hawai’i LGBT Legacy Foundation as Board Chairperson and through his kūlana as Board President for Hawai‘i Health & Harm Reduction Center.

Randy Soriano is a non-profit executive with over 15 years of marketing and management experience at proven industry-leading companies in Hawai‘i. He specializes in program development, project management and fundraising. He is currently the Executive Director at Hawai‘i LGBT Legacy Foundation.

Randy has a passion for connecting people and serving the community, which is demonstrated in the countless hours he dedicates to various non-profit and community organizations. He is a Past President of the Rotary E-Club of Hawai‘i, a board member at Hawai‘i Health and Harm Reduction Center, and in 2022, Randy served as the Chairperson of Honolulu Pride.

Jairus Kiyonaga is an award-winning designer and founder of Stay Awhile, a design studio in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. His studio specializes in hospitality industry clientele, with focus on research-driven, immersive and inventive design. Prior to founding Stay Awhile, he’s spent 10 years working in the local advertising and PR industry, working with large corporate brands, small local businesses and everything in between.

This year, Stay Awhile collaborated with the Hawai‘i LGBT Legacy Foundation to rebrand Honolulu Pride, ushering in a new era for both the October event and the foundation.


Haʻaheo, Randy and Jairus will be speaking on the topic of Pride on August 25th, 8:30am at @sandboxhawaii.
