Join us on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Entrepreneur Sandbox in Kakaako to experience the second edition of Pusong Filipinx the Market. The market is a culmination of months of preparation for multiple Filipino/a/x own businesses, creatives and organizations who we carefully curated for this event. Support small businesses and check out how individuals embrace their Filipinx American identity through their art. Come buy art, make haku lei po'o, get a tarot card reading done, eat Filipino food and learn how to dance traditional Filipino dances!
Along with the market, we will host a panel talks that will feature multiple Filipino/a/x business owners, creatives and professionals in the community. The panelists will answer questions regarding their experiences of starting a business, branding themselves as individuals and embracing their Filipino/a/x identity on a daily basis. Attendees will be encouraged to network throughout the event and make connections to help them in achieving their education, career and personal goals.
Part of the proceeds will go to a cause voted by everyone who helped in creating the event. This cause will be announced at the beginning of August. While this is a Filipino event, Pusong Filipinx the Market is open to everyone and highly encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to attend. PUSONG FILIPINX
Pusong Filipinx is an organization that was born from a graduate school portfolio featuring Filipino/a/x and Filipino/a/x American millennials and their journeys of embracing their identity. Today, it has expanded to a market and works in building a community for the millennial generation as well as the upcoming future generations. Through the motto, “Embracing Creativity and Empowering Culture,” Pusong Filipinx works in achieving exactly that.
Pusong Filipinx derives from the phrase “Pusong Pinoy” which means “heart of Filipino” embodying Filipino culture and identity through various acts. The name represents the millennial generation of Filipino Americans to include all individuals of different backgrounds.
We support local businesses and creatives as we aspire to garner more visibility for the businesses and showcasing them to an audience they normally do not sell to at other events. The market was also created to spark the interest of individuals to explore their own cultural identity, whether it be Filipino identity or other ethnicities.

Proceeds will go towards planning future Pusong Filipinx events as well as the cause voted by everyone who helped in creating the event.
