Artificial Intelligence (AI) Community Discussion at Hōʻike Kauaʻi!

  • Ho'ike Kaua'i Community Television 4318 Rice Street Lihue, HI, 96766 United States (map)

Join us for an energetic and entertaining discussion about AI and the arts--our first community meetup in Kaua‘i! Hōʻike Kauaʻi Community Television in downtown Lihue will be hosting this event, in partnership with Hawai‘i Center for AI.

  • From Chatbots to AI : We'll begin with a look at familiar chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Meta, then take a leap into the creative potential of the latest AI technologies. How can creators use and thrive with these tools?

  • Exploration and experience with the capabilities of Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Suno, Udio, spoken-word generation, and video generation.

  • We'll discuss the ethical implications of AI in art, both positive and negative, and explore how we can protect, inform, and inspire Kaua‘i creators for the future.

Do you have an AI creator tool you use and enjoy for your own artistic purposes? Let us know ahead of time, and we'd be happy to share the stage and let you show off your creations!

Limited Seating is available, so please register early!

Hosted by Allegra Gaines of Hōʻike and Peter Dresslar of Hawai‘i Center for AI.
